In FogStone Isle, students design their own island through engaging and challenging games, with math intrinsic to each activity. FogStone Isle has a deep integration of neuroscience, pedagogy, and engaging game-play design. Students are active learners, solving complex math problems, constantly adapted to their individual learning level. Teachers get assignment tools and actionable reports for the class and each student. Every topic (e.g., fraction addition) is broken into the full sequence of conceptual leaps required for mastery. At a glance, educators can immediately view class and student progress and accurately diagnose student difficulties. Our research shows high engagement and student outcome improvements, with over 84% of students choosing to play in their free time and two independent studies resulting in 30-31% average absolute score gains across participating 5th grade and struggling 7th grade students.
